There is a wonderful exhibtion at the Lowry which allows you to play ! ADA is a giant , helium filled ball, studded with reinforced charcoal sticks. Visitors are encouraged to push the ball & allow it to float to mark the walls (& floor if you are successful!). The result ? Beautiful areas of dense mark making with negative spaces surrounding.
